LAUGHTER LINES New York City, New York [Steel Bones Wrestling headquarter] FLASHBACK ON/OFF Camera
It was one thing to speak about doing something and then actually doing it. Alexandra Marie Kelly never knew the feeling of being nervous -- leave alone nausea. But standing in front of this door had done everything at once. For the first time, despite her size, she felt really small. So it was hardly surprising she stood outside in the cold since around twenty minutes. Peeking through the windows where other students worked for their dream. To be honest most of them were falling around -- or being kicked around by the trainers.
Are you sure about this?!
The little voice in the back of her head asked, tickling her to just turn around. But despite her shaking hands Alexandra opened the door. The warmth on the inside only added to the already sick feeling -- combined with the smell. She didn’t expect it to smell like roses, but that was something different. Sweat. Blood. And whatever else she didn’t wanna disclosure further.
“Maybe I come back another day… .”
She was mostly mumbling to herself when turning her focus back to the entrance door. But she wouldn’t make it far without feeling a firm grip on her shoulder. She whirled around and seemed ready to jump, but the person in front of her smiled. The kind of smile that made you uneasy -- obviously causing you to freeze.
“Did you have an appointment for a tryout?” The female's voice was a lot darker than expected combined with a thick accent.
Texan.
“I got a message...but maybe… I don’t know… .”
“You stuttering around an awful lot considering the fact you got nothing to say.”
Bitch! Alex was ready to mouth of as a second female appeared next to that blonde amazon. Around the same size but a skinnier and less defined. The dark locks framing her heart shaped face perfectly. The second woman rested her arm around the bitches shoulder. Smiling.
“Are you growling off potential students, Shannon?”
The blonde shrugged before stepping away -- putting her focus back on the students. Alexandra looked after her somewhat fascinated. The way she moved combined with the authority that surrounded her. It wasn’t clear for how long she starred after the female -- or for how long her mouth stood open. Alex almost felt embarrassed when the dark haired woman stepped into sight.
“She doesn’t mean no harm, mostly. Our Shannon is just not very good with social interactions. But let me have a wild guess, you are Alexandra Marie Kelly. Hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida. Currently without an address because you are a runner. Is that correct?”
Busted!
“Look lady I am sorry… I didn’t mean to cause any trouble… .”
The woman laughed out loud. “Half this dungeon is filled with troublemakers, Alex. It is my job to make something productive out of something destructive. The question is always the same though: Are you willing to give it your all?”
“I have always wanted to be a wrestler. Ever since I have seen it on television.”
“That doesn’t answer my question at all. All of those kids want the same thing -- but only a handful will ever make it to the big screen. And even then, even less will ever be remembered. We at Steel Bones give handpicked students a chance to become bigger than their dream. You will have a home, a place to train and most important a family.”
Once more Alexandra looked around the place and for the first time realised how fancy it looked. It was different than every gym she had ever visited -- or sneaked in. And then something dawned on her. It was one thing coming here for a tryout out, but a total different to actually getting accepted. And afford the training. Her cheeks slightly blushed when she looked down on her Chuck Taylor’s.
“I don’t know how to pay for what you offer, ma’am. I am sorry… for wasting your time… .”
“Don’t you be a silly bunny, Alexandra. First of all my name is Shania Rampage, you may as well call me Shania. And I am afraid the scouts have not given you the required informations.” She pointed over to the students once more. “What you see when you look at those kids? Be honest.”
“People? Students? Humans that get their asses kicked in the worst way possible?”
“All of that is correct, Alex. But also if you take a closer look you notice that none of them wears fancy clothes. No one is dressed up in the newest fashion. They are kids just like you. We give them what they need. They get a room in the back. We feed them. And at the end of the day they only pay in one way: Devotion. I follow the philosophy that it doesn’t matter where you come from but where you go to. So now that we washed your worries away… may I welcome you to Steel Bones Wrestling?”
Alexandra scratched her head a moment, messing up her already messy hair. She looked up at the woman with a shy smile.
“May I ask something else, Miss Rampage?” She waited for a sign of approval but that never happened, so she just went for it. “Why me? I am hardly heavier than a ten year old and we don’t have to speak about my size. All of those students could eat me without chewing twice.”
In an almost gentle manner Shania laid her hand on Alexandra’s shoulder, squeezing it. Both their focus was shifting between the ongoing action and their conversation.
“Every month I send out scouts aka the trainers from Steel Bones. That includes Shannon Summers over there. I am certain you have heard of her and the path of destruction that follows her name. It was her that spotted you in that dirty gym down in Florida. And even though she mentioned your timing is bad and your muscles are weak -- it was her that wanted you here.” Shania made a small pause. "Size is one thing. Muscles are another. But neither of that will help you if you miss the bite. And that is what she sees in you. Maybe you remind her on herself in the beginning. I have seen many students come in here thinking they had the so called gift. And guess what? They left broken after three weeks.”
They were interrupted by Shannon who screamed at one of the male students. From what Alexandra gathered it was about sloppy timing that could hurt his partner. She almost shuddered.
“We will push you to the limit and beyond. But we will also teach you how this industry works, in and out of the ring. You will be ready to make your own experience, yet we will not kiss your ouchies or tug you to bed at night. If you accept to stay here your life will drastically change. But every bruise that covers your body -- will be another lesson learned. So what you say, Alex?”
“I would love to stay.”
Shania nodded and called one of the other students over. The girl was barely older than herself, but like mostly -- two heads taller. She nodded at the boss then looked over the new girl.
Wait, I am the new girl.
“Kristine this is Alexandra -- your new roommate. Please show her the building and where she is gonna stay. Then she can pick up her gear from the lockers. That’s all for today.”
Another nod before she grabbed Alex by the elbow, leading her towards the rooms. She took a good while to explain the rules of the school -- along with the absoluter no go’s. Like a sponge little Pixie was absorbing every bit of information, nodding like a good student.
“This is your set. Don’t lose it. And please wash it yourself -- this is no hotel.”
A few moments later she had put on the new clothes looking at herself in the mirror. Despite the fact she wasn’t very vain -- she looked a few more times. Everything was perfectly fitting -- even the shoes. Her gaze fell over to the girl name Kristine with a puzzled look on her face.
“How did they have everything ready… what if I would have walked out… .”
“And blow the biggest chance you ever get? Nah. Shania is doing this job since lord knows when… there was no chance in hell you turn your back. Don't believe me? Check the inside of your shirt.”
She slowly followed the request and pulled her shirt up only to spot something that caused her to swallow hard. In big, bold letters she found two words written: Alexandra Kelly.
And so it begins. It was that day when Alexandra Kelly became the Pixie -- or went on her way there. But also the day she showed the world that no matter the odds, they were never impossible to overcome. The next years were a constant up and down -- but eventually they were worth it.
FOR THOSE BELOW Lake Tahoe, Nevada ON/OFF Camera
She wanted to laugh in people’s face. Often enough that was exactly what Alexandra Kelly did -- instead of lashing out. Half the time it was not worth the effort to lecture people about their delusional beliefs. They looked at her in a strange way -- because the fact of the matter was this, Pixie was strange. She didn’t make friends with the roster. She didn’t interact with anyone unless the situation called for it. Why should she? Quite frankly they had nothing to say, not to her face nor behind her back.
So maybe why the upcoming encounter was giving her the giggles. Kyleigh Everhart. Probably the exact opposite to what Alexandra was, right? Bubbly and attention seeking. The life of the party if you will. Honestly, apart from their pretty similar height they really hadn’t anything in common. While Misses Everhart spent her days on social media -- Pixie was planning her next move. No matter if it was against wannabe hunters or people faking a pregnancy to get out of a match.
We forgive, but we never forget.
“I will not bother you with giving you a rerun of the past weeks. You have probably seen more of it than I have. From people trying to sleep their way up to getting defeated at their own game. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the wrestling business. You are not seeing wrong -- maybe I should say, this is what it has become. We thought we made the evolution from girls being sex objects to real competitors. But one pointless chameleon can defeat the purpose. I could wish Miss Maloney all the best for the future -- but I have been taught not to lie. That female means nothing to me. And neither does her departure hurt Premier in the slightest. More or less it is the removal of a tumour. Farewell and all that nonsense. May my words be a constant reminder to every girl out there. You can ignore me, that is just fine by me. But you will not, under no circumstances, piss on the hard work a whole generation of females has been doing. So from the depths of my heart, eff you very much. Your fifteen minutes of fame are over.”
Where there was at first only a voice -- the light spotted a petite figure in front of a window. Long, dark hair was falling over a shirt that read Nick Sanderson. The camera came a little closer but remained behind behind the speaker, who obviously was the Pixie.
“Was that clear enough? Probably not. Delusional people often enough lack when it comes to common sense, so we might as well drop that subject. You know what’s in front of us, folks? The Premier Pay Per View. And what a fitting name it is: IMMORTALS. Finally we will crown the winner of the Diamonds Title Tournament. And this is the part where I am supposed to get all excited and nervous. Thinking about how close I am to make history -- but my opponent is such a talent. I have read the script. Once. Twice. During the third time I threw it into the fireplace. I don’t mean to offend anyone at any time -- but for whatever reason that seems to be my hidden talent. Maybe it is what they call BITCHCRAFT. The skill to piss people off when speaking the truth. I ask myself if Kyleigh is one of those fragile flowers. A pretty bird that is scared to lose some feathers.”
“I have watched you girl. From the shadows I have lurked your every move. Maybe that sounds like I got a stalker problem -- or are you the one with the problem? A problem coming in the shape and form of Alexandra Kelly. I have seen your kind come and go a trillion times. Very pretty. Giggly and girly. Bitchy when she doesn’t get attention. And clinging to someone to become relevant. Does that sound familiar? Did anyone even hear of you before you became friends with Kaden? Or before your brother started to date his daughter? It is things like those that will keep people wondering. Do not get me wrong, I don’t know you well enough enough to judge your motives -- but I know myself. I have entered this business a decade ago to make a name for myself. None of my personal relationships ever made it easier for me. There was no special treatment. No one to hold my hand -- leading me through this chaos we call wrestling. And I wouldn’t want it any other way. All I know is this, you can be proud you have come so far -- but every fairytale eventually has to end.”
Alexandra moved her head slightly to the side, allowing the camera to focus on her profile. Her expression was relaxed, suiting the calmness in her voice. Her breath was going slow, causing only little movement of her chest.
“When people look back at my career they think I used to be a sweetheart. Walking around hugging people and sharing cupcakes with co- workers. They remember that smile I used to give them every single night. How the crowd was fascinated by this little ball of fire. So what happened? Like every other story it has a hint of every human emotion. From betrayal to hurt egos. I have seen it all -- but much worse, I have felt it all. I will not make that mistake twice, pretty. I am not taking you lightly or talk down whatever you have achieved. You are a champion in Premier. Okay, the challenges you had to face weren’t all that big -- but still. Bravo for that. But without scaring you off, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Not quite sure you watched any of my matches. No matter if in or out of Premier. If not, I highly advise you go for it. It will help you realise two things. I am not one to fuck with unless your name is Nick Sanderson. And two, which is probably even more important, I don’t stop till I have broken everything you think that you are.”
“I am what they call a force of nature and you my little rainbow have never been in the middle of that. All your fears and thoughts hardly scratch the surface of what is going to come. Hold on to hope -- but remember that there is no easy way out. No one will care about your previous encounters. Come the Pay Per View I will take what is mine -- and rightfully has been since I entered this place. No one can help you during that match. No Kaden. No friend you made in Premier. Shit, I am not even sure you can help yourself. Maybe I am somewhat a bully, Kyleigh. I love to push people’s buttons but more than that I love to destroy. I think we can blame it on my fucked up childhood -- because that is what everyone else does. Or we come to the conclusion that I am just a cunt. And I say that with the utmost respect for every independent female out there. Yeah. I talk about those that do not hide behind a fake smile. The same breed that will slap the shit out of your face for looking at them the wrong way.”
She turned her attention towards the camera, brushing her hair out of her face. A pair of dark eyes staring back at her own reflection. And then a small smile formed, showing of her white teeth.
“There is a time for hope. But when that time fades we are forced to face reality. I am your worst nightmare, Kyleigh. No matter what you are capable of doing -- I will do it better. You will kick, punch and claw, which I admire. But all it needs is one moment, darling. One mislead step. That is what makes the difference between an entertainer and a competitor. I know your every weakness. Even those you ain’t aware of in this very moment. I will force you on your knees, but not for the kinky stuff. The only one smiling this night will be me. My whole life I have been looked at as not good enough. Too small. Too loud. And on top -- too weird. But with every insult something in me grew. Self Esteem. All those people did desire my attention -- but never were ready for my affection. I fight as hard as I love. There is no walking half the way and then taking a break. If I want something -- I want it all. Maybe you are a decent competitor. Maybe you could become the champion against someone else. But lady luck gave you mean cunt punt.”
“Last but not least may I remind you what’s on the line. Everything. That was quite the short speech, right? You will never be as good as they wanna make you look. No matter how brave you think you are. All the courage you think that rests in your tiny heart -- will be shattered. For one night I will rock your world, babe. I will take your precious dreams and feed my demons with them. They have been hungry. Of course that is just a metaphor. I am not half as loony as they want you to believe. Yet, I am not an inch as friendly as my followers believe. None of this is your fault, Kyleigh. You have done your part rather well. You have played all the right cards at the right time. But all the aces in the game have been left in the stack. We will go a few rounds. You will try to see behind my poker face but fail. Till the very last moment before your lights go out. I will do what I have always done. Every single match in ten years. I will go all in. I put everything on the line. Why? Because that is what a true warrior is supposed to do. The one thing that makes him different from the rest. We fight till the very end -- not up to where it becomes uncomfortable.”
The Pixie turned her full figure towards the camera while licking over her glossy lips. She painted a heart onto the glass, before stepping closer. An inch away from the camera guy.
“Before we say bye bye let me leave you with this, darling. You are very welcome.”
Amaya was seen with Kyleigh as Amaya had been the one that had taken over training Kyleigh for her matches as Amaya was sitting there as there was a smile on the newly crowned Pride champion as she licked her lips seeing how Amaya watched her as Kyleigh smirked when knowing at Immortals she could become a double champion that night.
“I said I would win the Pride title and I did and though now I am up for a bigger challenge and I already know Alexandra Kelly has this match won I mean who would want one person holding two titles right? But see Immortals I could be doing that I could be going into this match as a Pride Champion and leave the match as a Pride and Diamond’s champion one thing that won’t be changing is the fact I no matter what win or lose I still remain the Pride champion.
See Alexandra Kelly only has one thing to gain but can lose it in a heartbeat where I have nothing to gain really but becoming a Double champion and maybe I should be the doormat everyone seems to think I am and just let you win it and not even put up a fight but unlike someone you faced in the tournament I don’t find ways to back out as I will have the flu and I will still come out and fight in my matches till I can’t move.”
She smirked as she walked around the gym as Amaya watch sweet little Kyleigh and knew she had to do something to prepare her for Alexandra but what as she knew Kyleigh didn’t want to be heel and go the bully route as Amaya watch Kyleigh as set down on the floor as she started to close her eyes and regroup her thoughts.
“I know Kyleigh needs to change her attitude abit she needs to outsmart the woman that could be the first ever Diamond’s champion and I know Kyleigh wants that title she has been wanting it since she signed with Premier.”
Kyleigh heard what Amaya had to say as she looked at Amaya and rolled her eyes abit as she licked her lips.
“Change me? Make me someone I am not hell everyone else has tried in my life so why not you.”
“I can’t change you that is something you want to do Kyleigh, but you do need to step up your game here is your chance to prove a lot more people wrong and become a double champion.”
“I know I’m losing plan and simple Alexandra has the odds in her favor she’s abit more better then me and everyone knows this.”
“People said Otaki was the favorite and you beat her.”
“Yeah, I know people said she was the favorite, but that’s different Alexandra is better then I could only dream of she a lot tougher than I am.”
“Oh no you’re not fucking doubting yourself over some little girl about the same height as you.”
“We are the same height and I’m just a few pounds heavier then she is, but she’s been wrestling longer then I am so yeah.”
“Stop. your killing me hearing that.”
Amaya slaps Kyleigh across the face and grabs her and shakes her as Kyleigh looks at her the look in her eyes showed something different after that as Kyleigh started laughing as the scene faded out.
The next scene begins with Kyleigh at home as her adopted brother Jaxson was over there getting some things for the apartment that he had forgotten as Jaxson looked at his sister.
“I get I have no room to speak but I seen all three of your ex’s and they are worthless, and you deserved better more so the one that abused you before you came to New York.”
“Drop it trying to move on and forget them all.”
“Kyleigh, they will always be in the back of your mind you remember the pain each one made you feel the other two just up and leaving no words and the first one beating you nightly.”
“Your right I can’t forget about them, but I am trying I still have nightmares the first one will come to New York and beat me, but I am a fighter and now that I know I can fight back and I will.”
Jaxson just looked at Kyleigh as he shakes his head when knowing she was hurting when she spoke like that as he went outside she walked around the living room and tossed more things into the fireplace.
“Time to move forward I have healed what I can about my heart I have the wall built but I miss something as well no I can’t just, yet it will happen.”
She smiled as she heard her brother’s truck take off as the scene faded out.
The third scene begins with Kyleigh in the barn as she was working out lifting weights and just trying to stay focused as she set up her camera as she took a break as she licked her lips sitting on the bench as she heard the animals down below her playing and just making noise as she looked down to see what was going on.
“Immortals I face Alexandra and though I have the doubts I know with everything I can do I could possibly beat her she wants to be the bully walk all over me let her try as you see things change and times change and people change you think because I am on social media that I am not preparing for my match trust me sweetie I am working harder then ever though honestly I could just let you win so maybe Premier can have different champions but see at the same time I can’t just let you win it isn’t in my blood to just lay down to someone more so someone who deserves a match no I may not be a challenge like others but see I can be a challenge and I will be a challenge.
But guess what at Immortals the fight is there the little bully in you will see that your nothing like a bully I just don’t put my stories of what my life was like before I came to New York. I changed what I could but there is more to be worked on with me but you sweetie you only think you know me by what you have seen but surprises do happen, and I do have a few surprises for you that night and I just hope you are ready for them.”
She comes down from the gym loft as she smirked when she went over to the horses as she started to brush them.
“See Alexandra you’re the devil and I am the angel in the match we are nothing alike oh big deal we are the same height and you have experience in the ring but see I learned from the loses and the wins. But Alexandra I ask at Immortals what do you plan on teaching me because see you have watched me and I have watched you and I don’t expect you to do the same thing in the past matches I am to smart to expect you to do the same things, but I have watched to know I can beat you if I work my ass off and I will be working my ass off that night.
Immortals could just make my night sweeter, but it could make your night sweet to just I mean honestly you think you got this so easily yet are you really sure you do I mean have you covered ever single base you can Alexandra because to be honest you haven’t covered everything you think you have to beat me sweetheart but I may play along for awhile during the match to make you think you have but honestly that really depends on how bad I want to hurt you that night because I do want to hurt little Ms. Bully though let’s face it your words you speak only speak so loud you say this and you say that, but your actions need to speak everything my hurt little one.”
She smirks as she continues to brush the horse as she always made sure her animals her was taken care of as she then stopped as she walked out of the barn when the dogs would follow her as she walks towards the house.
“Alexandra Your demons are hungry good release them that night please I beg you show me everything you can and don’t hold anything back because see your not the only one with damn demons we all have them my dear and well sweetheart mine want to shut your pretty little mouth up that night and show that I have fucking worked my ass off to be where I am and I will only work my ass off harder to get where I need to be.
You Alexandra are like the one person in Premier right now that if I beat I could possibly beat anyone and I know to beat you it is going to take a lot of god damn hard work but I am willing and able to put in that hard work sweetie to prove a lot more people wrong I am the underdog in this match you’re not you’re the demon I want to break in half that night and put to rest just like a few other little demons that I have.”
Kyleigh smirked as she opened he doors and walked into her home as she headed upstairs as the scene faded out.
The fourth scene comes to Kyleigh sitting at a café as Amaya was nice enough to meet her outside the gym as Amaya had been working hard to build Kyleigh up in her mind and soul as she knew Kyleigh was abit broken from those ex’s as well as past “friends”.
“I hear your calls for help Kyleigh and I decided you have those demons don’t release them till that bell rings. I want you to save the anger Kyleigh save the anger you build about a certain little bitch that said you was her bestie and once again proved that they are all the same but don’t worry she will get hers eventually Karma always comes back to those who hurt people.”
“Oh, don’t worry I know what I am doing for that people need to learn you hurt me I will hurt back eventually but that so called “Friend” yeah let her run just let her run she will need something and she has burnt those bridges.”
“That’s why I didn’t want to train you yet for this match coming up, but I do plan on pissing you off more and more.”
“I want that I want to be pissed off before that match.”
Amaya just smirked as the scene faded to black.
The final scene comes to Kyleigh sitting in the ring at a local gym not even the school as she wanted to watch non-wrestlers work out some around was MMA fighters training as she smirked licking her lips as she placed her hands on the mat just sitting in the middle of the ring watching all around her.
“Immortals is just 9 days away and new champions could be crowned that night and a first ever Diamond’s champion be crowned as everyone knows my dream was that title hell it still is, but I get who I am facing can crash those dreams but like I’ve said I will still be walking out a champion that night win or lose.
See Alexandra I weigh things I know what I got to do to beat you I mean your no walk in the park nor do I want a walk in the park see sweetie you’re the challenge I welcome a lot of fucking people would run from a challenge like you hell one did not mentioning names but one did but see I have a back bone and I will stand up to you in the middle of the ring and bring the fight you probably don’t think you are getting sweetie but oh that fight will be there and then some my dear. Alexandra everyone see’s me the way I let them see me including you but you’re not seeing anything I’m hiding when that bell rings just remember my matches show so much each match I show more then the one before it.”
She smirked as she watched people looking at her as her eyes was getting hungry to fight but she remembered what Amaya had said and she was trying to save it for Immortals as she smirked when someone came closer to the ring.
“Good luck champ but no one will beat Alexandra just saying not you especially.”
“Right thanks for trying to get into my head more I already know I may not be able to beat her, but she won’t win without a fight asshole.
Oh, and Alexandra let me be the one to save you from your so-called demons let me be the one that takes your hand and throws you into the trash that night where you belong because no way in hell will I let you win without me making you realize you underestimate me is a mistake that will hurt you in more ways than one.”
“Right Kyleigh everyone knows your weak.”
“Go away before I hurt you. Please.”
“What am I getting to you do you want to hurt me?”
“Nope you’re not the one I seek to hurt but nice try. Alexandra like I said right now I only have something to gain if I win and I mean same for you but I am already a champion so not like it won’t kill me if I lose right now the fact is I want to show you that I’m not one to underestimate when it comes to getting into the ring I have learned a lot in such a short time some career some personal but I am not letting those lessons get to me instead I am letting those lessons build me up.
Sweetheart we will let our demons and angels play together that night and like I said win or lose the better person will prevail and in the end for your sake I do hope you walk out the champion, but I understand that you may not, but I have good knowledge you probably will win that night for the fact they won’t want a double champion but hey I could be wrong”
“You’re not wrong they won’t want you as a double champion hell I’m shocked you are a champion.”
“Will you just shut up already you have no idea what you are even babbling about over there go clean bathrooms or whatever just leave me alone.”
“Fine.”
The person laughs and walks away as Kyleigh smirks as she licks her bottom lip when biting it as she starts to laugh.
“Time is getting closer and our playground will soon be ready Alexandra as the two probably smallest women clash and honestly it will most likely be the best match of the night besides the main event itself but that is if you and I work well with out demons and angels to put on a good match while they clash away and hurt and beat one another.
I know I don’t have to wish you luck and I am not at the moment because let’s face it I know what your thinking even if I did. That night to become a double champion I need the luck on my side but let’s face it my dream is happening and that is the fact I am a champion the stakes just got sweeter for me in the end for this match.
Each day till Immortals I will be training and working my ass off to try and beat you yes, I said try because right now that is what I am aiming for I know deep down I can’t but won’t stop me from trying Alexandra and I think everyone knows I will try and try to beat you till it kills me that night. But for now, I am done, and I leave you with this though I know I shouldn’t Alexandra I hope you the best that night and I wish you luck that night the better woman will become the first ever Diamond’s Champion and I can only hope it is me.”
She blew a kiss as she smirked as the scene faded out.
