Yeah, so, had to have a conference call with management about jackass...
God, what a fuck up that one is!
I'm not talking about what happened during the match. Shit like that's part of the business. Hell, I take what Brit and *name redacted* did as a compliment. It's me, after all; if I had to fight me, I'd cheat too! Just the way it is.
But what happened before the show, that...
God damn, that was some reckless shit!
It shouldn't come as a surprise to longtime wrestling fans that most of us tour multiple companies. It's the nature of the game; the era of dominating in just one fed is reaching it's sunset. That's why so many of us roam different feeding grounds. In order to keep the reputation and the revenue up, we have to take extra jobs. And because of that, it's damn vital that wrestlers and promoters maintain a certain set of business ethics in order not to cause a chain reaction that could damage the balance.
After all, people seem to forget this is PROFESSIONAL wrestling. I know a lot of grapplers treat this sport as a doormat or their own personal playground, thinking they can do whatever they want without repercussions. And with that mentality, many of them seem to not understand why, over the course of time, they get shit reps and difficulties finding jobs in the industry.
I've had to work on my own rep, because, as much as I've done good in the sport, I've had some egg in my face moments. That's why I've endeavored to reestablish myself as a pro. And a pro handles their shit in a way where they benefit this sport, and the companies they represent.
Pissing in other federation's yards and trying to interfere in a wrestler's business outside of Premiere Fighting, or their respective company...NOT professional! In fact, that's how wars both in the ring and in the legal system start.
I don't do that. I don't beef with people that aren't on any of the payrolls I'm on, I don't disrespect other organizations unless they legitimately screw me over, and I don't intervene in places I don't tour with. Not only does that make you look like a liability, it makes the organizations that pay you good money to represent them look foolish.
Oh, I straightened things out at the company on the other end of this issue. They understood it wasn't my fault somebody didn't have the good sense to think about what they do affects others, especially one that presents themselves as a champion of ensuring people don't get screwed over.
I've been patient through most of my time dealing with this person. I've been called every name in the book, including white man, I've been accused of some of the most vile shit in my seven year career. I've endured them threatening sponsors and harassing people on-line, including many of my friends and business associates. I even took it with a grain of salt when this individual promised, in no uncertain terms, they wanted to burn the entire company down and remamke it in their image.
Shit like that's just another day at the office.
But when you cross the streams, butt into affairs you are not legally entitled to, and make the company you work for, that invests in you, look like asses for unhinged behavior...
That's when it gets taken to a new level. That's bad for business. That's bad for everybody that relies on good standing relationships to put bread on their table off this brand. It makes us all look like assholes.
I discussed things with Kaden earlier, and, we came to an agreement...
Until further notice, I will NOT interact nor work with this individual on any basis. All social media communications are off-line, and all issues from herein will be mediated by management. I cannot, in good conscience, continue to help somebody earn a check while they act in a manner that affects everyone around them.
Worst part is, I'm not even angry about it. If it had been kept in sane, professional parameters, i'd have no issue getting back into a ring with this person. But this type of rapacious and potentially damaging company wide behavior of constant meddling in affairs that don't concern any of us will not be rewarded by me.
I had to pay a toll back in the day for misconduct; time somebody veering way off course learned that lesson as well.
Appreciate the time. Enjoy your weekend.
