Cassidy Thorne vs Lilian Cane vs Amaya Store
The woman's triple threat match was tonight's show opener as we run in the New Year. After each of the women made their ways to the ring the referee called for the bell as both Cane and Storme began to work over the rookie Throne as they double teamed her early on in the match up. Thorne tried to fight back during the match but Cane would shove her back into the corner as she and Storme started to have a break down in communication. This would allow Thorne some breathing room as both Cane and Storm fought leaving her alone Storme would come back giving Can a drop kick to the chin and going for a quick two count. Storme got back to her feet and went after Cane with kicks to the back. Thorne was able to come back into the picture as she grabbed Storm by the air and began to fight with her some.A big highlight of the match was when Thorne went to go suplex Storm off the top turnbuckle Cane came over and it became a three person suplex that shoot the ring and got the fans to their feet chanting holy shit. All three women were motionless until Thorne went over and put a hand over Storme but she got a two count. Storme and Thorne got to their feet first in the final moments of the match as Cane got into the middle as she ducked a kick by Storme as it connected with Thorne's face as she rolled to the arena floor. Cane spun Storme around and gave her three german suplexs and then the forth she held on as Storme's shoulders were on the mat as the referee counted her out for the win giving Cane the first win of 2020 and her career here in Premier Fighting.
A Savage Production
Look at me back then. That was a different animal back then when I won that belt. Bit shaggier, too. But look at those eyes.
Tony Savage is in the locker room of the MGM Grab. The actual locker room, not those cushy private rooms that spoil wrestlers and overhype their status. Tony insisted on something an actual athlete would prep for game-time in. Just a clean, well equipped area, with a television. And on that screen, is back in the day when Tony took down Teo Jakobah for the World Title. A close-up on his face told a story.
That was the face of somebody hungry. Who had a boulder instead of a chip on his shoulder. Somebody that screamed he wouldn't relent, no matter who it was, or what his status was in the company. Complete kill mode until the job was done.
Tony isn't even looking at the camera. His gaze is glued on that screen, fast forwarding it to the last time he was in the ring.
He gets to his understandably least favorite part; Britt's boot trying to punt his junk for a game winning field goal. he rewinds, and freezes footage. While he was wailing on his opponents, he didn't have that look. His was cocky, self-assured...
Complacent.
Tony shook his head, then chuckled ironically.
Tony: All that gabbing I do about testing people, I forgot a little me time in that department. Reminded me about the little things.
He slaps his crotch; it sounds like he's wearing a protective cup.
Tony: Least that street's closed off from now on.
Tony: Considering what I've done in the past, it's easy to get too comfortable. Start thinking a great resume's enough to get the job done. You start taking shortcuts, slacking off. I mean, what's all those hours in the gym or sacrificing creature comforts for top performance, and you step in that ring and start letting off the gas because you already think you won. Britt saw that moment in my face. She took advantage.
Don't blame her; I was kicking the shit out of those two, but, all it takes is one second of zigging instead of zagging...Should've seen it coming, but I didn't.
Tony fast forwards to the moment he lands the Heart Punch on Britt as she was celebrating. He replays that scene several times, grinning.
Tony: I gets mine back, though. It was that moment I realized, I've been looking at things all wrong. It's not me they gotta beat, it's them I gotta beat. Mostly, her...
He zooms in to Britt on the ground, clutching her chest, and Tony looming over, with that same look he was missing.
Hungry, focused, straining from another massive chip he's carrying.
Tony: Hell, strictly her. She wants to sit in that big chair, I'm going to treat her like she deserves it. That's not good. That means it's fuck your life mode now. Your ass gets hospitalized, whatever. It's gotta happen. Takes me a pint of blood to get 2 from you, done. More, okay...
Point being, she wanted to go this route, let's do it. That means every punch I throw's with the intent of brain bleeds and concussions. I lock in a limb, I want something to pop like bubble wrap. Takes me to the time limit to finish the deal, why rush? No matter how nicely you beg.
Run your fucking ass out of the building mode like Teo's mush-mouthed pasty self. I don't just want to beat you, I want you to remember me years from now when the cold makes something on you ache thanks to me.
Obviously, he had the production team do some quick photoshop work on the next montage. Footage of the rest of the roster in action all have her head super imposed with Anders.
Chris Cane, Mercer, Matt Stone. Even his friend Brady, all with her mug slapped on their necks. He stops at Liv Kohl, his teeth clenched.
Tony: I don't know how good Liv is. Considering this is her first real go-round in the business, she's only given climpses of what she can do. It'd be easy to relax, let the years of experience and abilities convince me to put it on cruise control. But that's not fair to either of us. So, Liv gets promoted to Britt. Question is...
Can she handle that job?
He still does not look at the camera. His head doesn't even tilt slightly to acknowledge it. Those eyes are locked in, not reading anything else in the locker room. All he cares about is THAT little shit on the ground, struggling for air.
Tony: That's what you're going to get if you aren't on that level tonight. Hell, even that level got touched. Because until further notice, everybody that gets the short straw and booked against me, regardless of your talent level, you get the unfortunate blessing of being treated like you're the alleged best. Like you're a threat to that spot I want back. The one I bust my ass for turning myself into a weapon while motherfuckers are chugging beer or doing glamour shoots.
The one that's got that chip on his shoulder again.
His neck and knuckles crack in unison, and his lip is curled into a snarl. He just keeps going back and forth with that footage, smiling even more every time he punches her.
Tony: You're all the same person now. How's that for equality? Liv, everybody else on the payroll. You've all been promoted tonight. You're all Premiere Princesses. Enjoy the job title.
He finally turns to the camera, pointing at the screen with "our Highness" clutching her collarbone like she's suffering heart valve failure.
Tony: Not sure you'll like the benefits, though. And it doesn't seem to be a long term gig, from what I see.

Brady Vega vs Draven
The second match up for the New Years card was going to be Vega going up against the Premier veteran, Draven. Both men came to the ring and was inspected by the referee and after that the bell was heard. Vega came out swinging right of the bat using his speed against Draven who by his own right had his own speed but Vega was slightly faster then him. It was a high paced match up as the action spilled to the arena floor and we saw an incredible back flip off the apron from Vega to Draven which got the fans to rise to their feet in disbelief. The move took a lot out of both men as the referee got to a six count and Vega slid into the ring and back out to get his opponent. Vega would stay on Draven for the remainder of the match up as he would soon pick up the victory shortly after returning to the inside of the right around the 13:06 mark.
A Princess' Words
We open up to the smiling face of Britney Anders' personal interviewer, Jaylynn Jeter.
Jaylynn Jeter: Hello everyone. I hope you're enjoying what has been an already exciting episode of Affliction. It should be no surprise that my guest tonight is the one, the only...Premier Princess herself, The Living Doll, Britney Anders!
The camera pans out some to show The Living Doll herself standing beside Jaylynn. Britney was in a brand new for the new year hot pink attire.
Britney Anders: You're getting better at your introductions. Keep up the practice and you will be just fine.
Jaylynn Jeter: Of course, I'll continue to put the work in, but Britney tonight is a huge deal. Not only will the International championship be on the line in our main event, but you are going one on one against a man making his big debut in Premier tonight, Chris Cane. Despite this being his debut in the reboot of Premier, he's far from a rookie. You have your work cut out for you tonight.
Britney chuckles and gives Jaylynn a pat on her head mockingly.
Britney Anders: Do I? Because so far I've had everyone from that champion you mentioned, Matt Stone, Tony Savage, the other Stone who I refuse to mention due to her wanting me to say her name, and Shawn Hunter all tell me that I couldn't handle them. They all told me that they were this or they were that and what happened?
Jaylynn continues holding the microphone to Britney's lips prompting her to snatch the microphone and hold it up to Jaylynn now.
Britney Anders: I asked you a question, did you become a mute all of a sudden? No you didn't, so answer it!
Jaylynn Jeter: You have beaten all of them.
Britney pushes the microphone back towards Jaylynn and waves her hands in the air in a mock celebration.
Britney Anders: Ding ding ding! It took you long enough but there we go! Exactly, I beat Matt Stone, I beat the other Stone and Savage in the same match, and I beat Shawn Hunter at the 2019 close out show. So what makes you special, Cane? Because you were a legend in some other companies how long ago? Because if we're keeping it real, you've been the butt of a million jokes on social media for at least the last few years. Or is it because this is your big return? The Cowboy is riding back into town and claiming Premier as HIS territory!
She rolls her eyes mockingly.
Britney Anders: Around here you have to prove yourself, and sweetie I'm the toughest person you could have drawn to do that against. Not only am I the Premier Princess, or the Living Doll, but I'm also Miss Undefeated! Three and zero here, and I don't plan on starting the new year off with a loss. So here's my suggestion for you Chris, and listen really close okay?
Britney pretends like she's on a horse and smacks what would be the backside of the horse.
Britney Anders: Get on your stupid little horse, and get moving as fast as you can, because as talented as you once were, your days at the top have long passed and this isn't the Wild West anymore, its a pretty little place that I like to call The DOLLHOUSE!
Jaylynn Jeter: Britney, if I may, don't you think you're being a little overconfident right now? Chris Cane IS an established wrestler with a list of accomplishments a mile long.
Britney Anders: I know that, I'm not stupid, but what I'm saying is if it were any other company, or any other opponent, MAYBE that would matter. But I'm Miss Undefeated for a reason, and that reason is really quite simple: I'm better than everyone here and I've already been proving it. If Chris is as good as he says, then tonight is HIS chance to prove it.
Britney begins to walk off but stops.
Britney Anders: Oh and Tony...don't think I forgot about that little heart punch at the last show. I hope you have eyes in the back of your head, because trust me when the time is right...Payback is just like the most important lady in your life...a BITCH.
With fire in her eyes, Britney begins to walk away leaving Jaylynn looking exhausted.
Jaylynn Jeter: Wow, what a statement from the Premier Princess, Britney Anders. Will Chris Cane be able to prove himself tonight, or will Britney continue racking up the wins here in Premier? Stay tuned to find out!

Liv Kohl vs Tony Savage
Both stars have been doing good in Premier as they both entered the ring tonight as Liv had made her way out to the ring first and then was followed out by Tony. Both were looking to prove something this evening as both wanted to have the chance to eventually either face off against the International Champion Matt Stone or have the chance to go for the bigger prize, The Premier Championship. The start of the match say Savage take the start of the match due to his size and in ring ability as he has been wrestling for much longer than Kohl. The match up itself though didn't last long as it appeared that Savage was in no mood to play cat and mouse or any games for that matter. The match just lasted a few moments as he ended the match roughly at the 4:30 mark in a quick squash match up as the referee and Premier Officials checked on Kohl who appeared to have been injured during the match up. Chris Cane vs Britney Anders
Cane was making his debut tonight against the red hot Anders who had a impressive 3-0 win streak as she was about to go up against the cowboy. The two have had a bit of a twitter exchange since the match had been announced making it an exciting match up to wait and see in person and the match itself living up to everyone's expectations. Earlier in the evening we say Little Cane in action and she wished her dad luck before he made his way down to the ring. Anders was out next with a small mixture of fan are from the crowd but you could tell she didn't need it or want it. Both Cane and Anders had a good back and forth match up as both didn't want to give up an inch to the other as Cane had something to prove against the younger Anders and Anders had something to prove to everyone, that she was the Premier Princess and she wanted to remain undefeated. Even though the match up was a good back and forth encounter each had made mistakes for the other to capitalize on and they did with both getting near falls throughout the match keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. The crowd was split with a lets go Cane, Lets go Anders chant. The winner can just short of the 20 minute mark and before the match would be sent to the judges when Anders was able to squeak out a win to remain undefeated, going 4-0.
International Championship
Brandon Mercer Vs Matt Stone (c)
The main event of the evening we got to see the first ever title defense from Matt Stone as we welcomed in the new year as he defended his championship against Brandon Mercer. Mercer came out to the ring first follow by the champion who was showing off his championship belt to the crowd as he was the first champion of the new era Premier Fighting. The referee took the belt and showed it to Mercer who told him and Stone that the title was going to be coming to him tonight which Stone shot back we'll see. Brandon Mercer Vs Matt Stone (c)
As the bell sounded both men locked up inside of the ring and both trying to gain position over the other but it failed. They both locked up again and it was Mercer who pushed Stone to the corner. Mercer locked him into a headlock and Stone gave him a back slam as he went for a quick pin but got a one count. The kick out was quick as Mercer got back to his feet and started to fight back. From that point the match was even as both men had the same amount of time in offense and each got some near falls. Mercer almost got the win via count out but the title wouldn't have been won on a count out.
While the match was back and forth the end of the match leaned more towards Stone who seemed he knew his title could slip away at any time he pulled the referee in front of him as Mercer kicked him down to the mat. Stone crawled over and went to the outside as he grabbed his title belt bringing it into the ring. Breathing heavily he swings it over at Mercer but he ducks and Mercer tries to grab the title from him as Stone saw the referee stirirng and getting up to his feet. Stone stomped the ramp really hard and then fell backwards like he was hit with a ton of brings as the referee saw him on the mat with Mercer holding the title. The referee called for the cell DQing Mercer and giving Stone the win as Stone rolled to the outside and crawled backwards up the ramp as Mercer and the referee argued. The referee takes the title and hands it over to Stone who is acting hurt from the title shot that never existed.
